6 Months and counting.

Noah recently turned one half! He is getting so big.

From this 5 lbs:

To this (finally growing into his eyes and noes):

Height: 28.3 inches. or 2 feet 4.3inches
Weight: 20.2 lbs
Head: 17.8 inches around.

So that means he is in the 95% for height. 90% for weight and 85th for head circumference.

-In the first 6 months a baby is suppose to double his/her birth weight...Noah has quadrupled his!
-He has been sitting up for a few weeks now and loves it. Dr just told me today that it is unusual for a baby to sit up before 7 months, but I find that hard to believe.
-He is not a big roller unless he has too.
-He is one bouncy boy. I get quite the exercise with him in my arms...bonce bounce bounce. In his bouncy chair he about bounces it over he is so strong,
-Instead of a helmet we have been doing cranial sacral work and wow has it been paying off! His head is almost all the way round again! Thanks for saving us at least $2,000.
-He communicated by screaming and grunting. High pitched screaming. It's not an angry scream just screams. He is REALLY good at saying Hi. We say"say Hi" and he says "Hi".
-He waves when he sees anyone other than Mommy. When Daddy comes home he waves and flashes his big gummy smile.
-Still doesn't take a Binky for longer than 3 seconds and doesn't suck his thumb. But puts everything in his mouth!
-He is also very good at doing the sign for milk with his hand when he is hungry/thirsty.
-Still nursing and plan to till he is about 18 months. We both love it. And he only wants the bottle right before bed and still prefers nursing.
-He has learned the signs for "no more" only in the past few days with his head and hands coordinating together.
-And he has known the sign for "dog" since as long as he could move his hands.
-He is wearing 12-18 month clothes which I think is weird they think 12 months and 18 months babies are around the same size, unless they stop growing. He can't wear 12 month footy pj's because he is way to tall so he is in 18 month old ones and they fit perfect.
-His sleeping has been skiwampus since we moved here. He was going 9-12 hour nights uninterrupted, but then I got to needy and would pick him up after every whimper. Then we went on vacation and I didn't want him waking anyone in the house up so I would get up again all the time. And since Jared has been sick the past few days I have been doing the same thing. Equaling not much sleep for me. But usually I wait about 2 min after his whimpers and he puts himself to sleep. If he is crying though I jump out of bed...because he rarely does that so something must be wrong and he needs soothing. Again that rarely happens. And last night he was back to his good 10 hour sleep.
-He only takes 2 naps a day now. One before lunch between 10 and 11 for about an hour and then one around 3 or 4 and that nap is around 2.5 hours.
-He is eating baby food 2 times a day. 12 and 7pm. He always has a fruit before bed and a vegetable for lunch. Recently he has discovered squash and LOVES it, but banana's are still his favorite. Oh and he gets a piece of bread at 9am...which what he doesn't eat the dogs do. He mushes it really good.
-He is finally flexible enough to reach his toes and he LOVES them. When he is sitting he is always trying to pull them up to himself. When he is lying down and has no socks on he is examining them. Makes it harder to change his diapers.
-He loves scooting...on his back. He can cross the room in seconds. He has got rug burn on the back of his head before from it. He tries crawling so hard but just scoots backward on his belly.
-He loves my hair but he doesn't try to eat it anymore he loves twirling it when he is nursing or just sitting on my lap.
-He is still nursing ALL THE TIME. He does get his bottle before bed full of formula and rice cereal, but through out the day and if he wakes up at night, nursing.

There is so much more I could tell you but the only person that will even be interested in this info are his grandma and grandpas.

Here are some cute pictures we took on Sunday:

  1. Beck was sitting before 7 months, and I think that's pretty normal.
